Lisbon Oriente

Lisbon Oriente – or simply Oriente – is the most modern district within this great European riverside capital city. Combine luxury family living with superb amenities that exist in Lisbon’s most modern yet family-friendly district. The area has been compared to Brickell Key in Miami, or Battery Park City in New York, or even Canary Wharf.

With its futuristic architecture, characteristic of Eastern Lisbon – Oriente is a complete contrast to the city’s old quarters. Most of it was built by innovative architects for Expo ’98, the World Fair that took place in Portugal’s capital between May and September of 1998.

The riverside district of Oriente is a haven of modernity in Lisbon’s fast-growing mix of old and new and yet with lots of green areas and sports fields specifically delivered as part of a modern and visionary urban plan. The area offers all the conveniences of future city living, with easy access to the more romantic corners in the old town of Lisbon within minutes through metro, bus or car.

Oriente (affectionately known as ‘Expo’ to the locals) was established as a residential and commercial destination during the World Expo in 1998. Thoughtful urban planning gave rise to generous public spaces, wide pedestrian pathways, parks, a marina, casino, museums, concert halls, hospitals, schools, sports facilities, modern shopping centres and much more, making it a truly vibrant place to live and work.
